OUR STORY
More than three decades of Hindi in Sydney
1993
Hindi Samaaj founded in Sydney.
1994
Literary and cultural programs organised to promote local talent, including Hindi poetry, plays and children's folk dances.
1995
Flute recital by Pt. Hari Prasad Chaurasia in Sydney.
1996
Children's Hindi classes commenced.
1999
Chetna, the Hindi magazine, established.
2003
Hindi library established.
2004
Hindi Samaaj liaised with the University of Sydney's Asian Studies area regarding promotion of Hindi and Urdu in graduate courses.

Hindi school inauguration
On 24 February 2008, Hindi Samaaj President Dev Tripathi and Gunjan Tripathi joined Nathan Rees, who later served as NSW Premier, and Julie Owens, then Federal Member for Parramatta, to inaugurate the Hindi school. The occasion brought the community together to celebrate Hindi language, culture, and learning for future generations.
